RIY Level1はこれで終わり、ORT Stage7も終了。Stage8,9を読んだ後にStage7に戻ってくると、なんか安心感がある。

Oxford Reading Tree 最後のStage9へ。

さすがに1,500語前後あると、ズシリと来るなぁ。。

読み終えるのに10分弱、掛かる。

ストーリーが面白いので、先を読みたくなる。

  • A Sea Mystery　こういう未解決事件があったような気がする

WPMが前週よりもかなり早くなっていることに驚いたが、初期の頃は40秒で読み終えても1分でカウントしていたことがあったので、参考記録としたい。読むスピードが早くなっていることは実感できている。

 

時間があったので、たくさん読むことができた。2週目で5万語を突破。

RIYはおとぎ話・昔話を簡単に書き直したシリーズ。読みやすいが、ページ数の制約があって物語がシンプルになっている。

ハーメルンの笛吹き男だけ、怖い。（後味も良くない）

英語多読

今日読んだもの

今日は16冊。ORT Stage6→7へ。

ページ数が24から32となり、1ページあたりの単語も多い。Stage7になると1話あたり1000語近くになるが、登場人物に馴染みがあるし、何よりストーリーがおもしろいので苦痛には感じない。使われる単語も、難しいものが少しずつ増えてきた。

今回からWPM(Words Per Minute)も計算することにした。大体150~200WPMで読めれば、次のレベルに進んで良いという目安になるようだ。
